I've noted a lot of this lately with some/a a certain journalist. He sempt to have his tounge firmly up keith hills bottom until after he was sacked. now he's spitting venom. Just my opinion which is probably wrong :)

I think he's not managed to replace c.£4 million of talent with a complete budget of £6 million. That's what he mainly failed at.

He made many, many mistakes this season. However, you can trace everything back to that Leeds game. Butterfield stays fit, we sell for £2 million in Jan. Maybe we sign Drinkwater permanently? Maybe Vaz stays the season etc etc.

I think he'll do well with a bit more luck, I think he was severely hard done to here.

Totally agree pal. I think he has lots of faults. I'm pretty sure I posted that after the boro game very early on, after he turned on the fans that this would ultimately be his downfall and to be honest, he never really changed this behaviour. I think he has made some very poor signings and wasted money on too many players but there is the makings of a good manager there and like I say, he has been totally let down in my view by poor transfer dealings. Our loss will be someone else's gain.

I don't think Keith would have paid £1.5m for Drinkwater , Vaz Te was told to find another club and did. He had the worst record of any manager in the football league over the last twelve months and the guy turns out to be even more of a lovely person than many people thought he was.........hard done to, I don't think so.

Vaz Te was told to look for another club after the worst performance I've probably ever seen. But they kept working with him and he found form.

I'm not saying we would've signed Drinkwater, my point being having that money for Buttefield would've given him options rather than scrambling round early Feb.

I think we had a very good team upto January. That was then ripped apart for various reasons. We never recovered. That's all.

    I think its wrong.
Matt and Doug need to have a long hard think and stop crying.

You think what they would be like at a leeds press day or even worse man utd. Sir alex makes people look very stupid. Verbal rants at them. and then bans them from any manchester match.

Matt needs to think if he wants to be a journo or players mates. it seems he cant do both it seems.

It all depends on exactly what was said.

If Keith was giving him some and it crossed the line then they have every right air it in the public domain.

As for fergie only one person I recall ever got banned.

Alan green aside no ne has been banned from mufc press conferences unless n the employment of the bbc.

    That ended last year.

Playing mind games with journos is a bit different from a personal phone call where your getting some aggro.

Still I wouldn't mind hearing what keef has to offer on this matter.

The press arent all angels, some are better than others. If a journo wants to be a footballers mate or managers mate then fine but if for example he is told something in confidence he should respect that.

    Mind games phil.

It's what fergie specialises in. Manipulation. Smoke and mirrors.

Fergie uses the media to get his own way on things. He's been doing it since before you were born.

There's been more bans given out and rescinded at old Trafford than you can shake a stick at.
