Great to hear that's she's making a recovery. I'd somehow missed this thread until now so it's good to read the bad news immediately followed by the good (for a change).
Just a quick one to let everyone know that I've had the call to go and collect my other half today. And again, thank you to everyone with their kind messages. The sun is shining. It's a very good day!
Fantastic news mate, and further proof that it still needs to be taken seriously, despite the complete relaxation of restrictions.
Best news in ages. Remember when you were saying that you had failed at protecting her? You hadn't. You've successfully protected her until variants were milder and treatment was better and that's why you are taking her home today
Funny you should say that, I nipped to the supermarket very early this morning as I'd been given the heads up today was likely to be the day she would be discharged, so I needed to get a few bits and something for dinner later. I've not been in much through the pandemic at all, but it was very noticeable that all signs for anything covid related had been removed and all the plastic segregators between check outs had been removed too.
I'd still rather she hadn't caught it though. But you're right, aside from changing the locks so she couldn't get out, there probably wasn't a great deal more I could have done in the scheme of things. I can't help feeling that I could though.
I completely get that and can't imagine how you've felt. Now get her picked up and when you get home ask her what she's making you for dinner. Then RUN
I might leave that til later in the day! It's a gorgeous day down here, the garden is looking lovely with quite a few flowers in bloom, so I'm glad she'll get to see that. I'm not sure what to expect to be honest, if she'll be able to walk a bit or continue to rest... though I know she'll say she's fine and be impatient! But I've quite missed that. Not to mention the ballast on an evening so the bed covers don't get dragged off!!!
Didn’t you know, Covid is no more according to Uncle Boris! I’d love him to tell that to you and your good lady’s face. Really pleased you’re getting her home. It’s a lesson to everyone that we still should take precautions no matter what.
