I agree with a lot of that

apart from the bit where you start going on about cakes and doughnuts. Someone made a similar analogy the other day with Tesco but if you think about it it's a nonsensical comparison.

You can go somewhere else for your cherry cakes but you can't go somewhere else for your football.

    spot on

"when did the rot set in?"

come on the rot has not necessarily set in get behind the team they are in bad form yes but they could easily improve - you could say the rot set in now if the bad form continues over the coming months but to say you can already see this?

    crazy

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

    Top 12 side?

I think our league final league position suggest otherwise. I think too many people really do have an inflated opinion of exactly how good some of our players are.

Davey's aiming for the top six this season

so he really must have an inflated opinion of how good the players are

RE: When the old board cashed in on Neil Redfearn and appointed John Hendrie as boss

I think that was the reasoning behind the appointment. A popularist appointment to prevent any protests. The thinking fan could probably see that it was going to be a wrong decision but you could see the reasons why.

I guess that's why it refreshing to see PC doing it his way and not bowing to some of the calls we see on here.

Hehe, you can't accuse Cryne of going down the populist route....

I like how he has gone and sourced wingers

and now he's playing a system that doesnt use them...... and plays 2 of 7 strikers out wide - whilst having no left back.

he's bought 50 players - thats madness. Think of the team we could have no if he hadn't wasted all those transfer fees, signing on fees and agents fees.

    The day I emigrated..

Bassett was sacked before the next game. Downhill ever since. I'll take the rap.

Have seen three games so far this season - very uninspiring. But looking forward to demolition of Reading on Saturday before flying home Sunday.

Ventured into enemy lines last night and sat in the Spurs end at Donny (I was with a Spurs fan). Credit to Donny for having a go and creating a raft of chances. Undone by ruthless finishing and far superior passing game. Usual Premier League/Championship chasm.
