I don't like new builds and I'm not saying that I don't like the ground as it is - but in truth we don't fill it and in terms of where we are / who we are now it's too big for us. Yes we have the potential to be a bigger club, and when we hit the big time, we filled it - but we are not good enough and it's a big fixed asset.

You can't say that we didn't waste money under John Dennis because **** me sideways it went somewhere. I don't care what anyone says, selling Redfearn was **** business, particularly as we ended up paying more for Mike Sheron, and nobody will ever convince me that they thought Sheron gave us more than Neil Redfearn (I do realise that one was a striker, the other a midfielder - albeit Redders was capable of scoring more goals). Yes I've heard the arguments that he (Redders) only had a couple more seasons left in him - well after us he played premier league football for two other clubs for two more seasons. I think we could've had four more years out of Neil Redfearn if we'd simply offered him an improved deal. Instead we 'invested' in the likes of Robbie Van der Laan - who was a cart horse.

    That's just one issue.

John Dennis pissed the last of the money up the wall on manager after manager and a string of journey men players. If we'd have had the composure to get a proper manager in after Wilson left (not Hendrie) we had a meaningful chance of an immediate return to the Prem.

    It's all irrelevant of course.

We're ****ed playing lower league football now anyway, and even if we did (by some miracle) get back up there is nobody in the club who has the finances, the nouse, or the balls to keep us there.
