I'm here. Players seemed to lack belief once we went behind today. First half I honestly thought we shaded it. 2nd half was as bad as anything last season.
The games that i've seen have been truly awful. Like you, i say it as I see it. I also want to wait and see.
I'm on the lash, but congrats on getting a hard on about us not laikin that well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Im here. Though pissed. Time to stop the managerial merry go round whoever the manager is. Some on here glorying our defeat sad really. Hillsborough is down the road gossupport the massives.
The two quoted posts above sum up my stance. I'm not pleased with this month, how it's gone for us, after what now looks a decent first month. I'm not totally convinced in the manager either. Hard to be anything other than unconvinced after the last few results and performances. But I don't want him sacked. I don't want myriad loan players fetching in either. I'm fully paid in to the plan that I assumed we all were happy to accept/see out. To give the new squad time, to allow for ups and downs, to judge things at a much later date than September 27. But then, it's not a coincidence that those who didn't want Wilson as manager again, are the ones now tearing into him and his players. Sad part of it is - for me - that it's seemingly pleasing them, this **** run of four games as it gives them the opportunity to say "TELD THI". I'm drinking n all. You Reds.
don't disagree with much of that, you pi$$ed up yob. but serious question - at what point is enough's enough? i've just been looking at some stats - and i know you can spin stats however you want. but... - this is by far, the worst spell in his managerial career - we have been relegated under him - his january window last season was a disaster - we are currently in the League 1 relegation zone - with the exception of Jonny Steele in 72/73, he currently has the WORST win ratio in the history of Barnsley Football Club. not just recent times - in the history of the Club Whitey. Parkin, Hodges, Spackman, Anderson, Davey, Machin, Hill, Flitcroft - ALL have greater win ratios now those are hard facts. not my opinions (the january window is my opinion, actually). that isn't a pretty sight, in anyone's book. for the record, i'm still sticking with him, cos i think we have to as it stands. but for those telling me he's the messiah - right now, there's **** all to back that up
I judge him as our current manager. Yes, he was in charge during 'that' period, but that was then and this is now, and so that's what I'm judging him on - now. And it isn't very good. I said as much about his spell last season. It was marginally better than Flicker's half. But his signings were dreadful, as you say. His refusal to select Hassell was ridiculous (and costly). I never saw a tactical plan. Seemed a bodge job to me. But I was confident still that given time, his own players etc that he'd get us going again this season. That faith is slipping, definitely. I'm not a mug. But trust me when I say this, I'm not saying stick with him just because it's him, Danny Wilson, the messiah. I'm really not. I didn't want Flicker sacked for the same reason. Sick of us backing a manager, building a squad then chalking **** on it after a poor run of form/results. If Danny does go though, maybe then folk'll appreciate that maybe Keith Hill wasn't as bad as they think. I mean, if the messiah can't do any better (or as you claim, worse going off those stats) then....? I'm not blindly sticking with him/this out of some necessity to be right. Unlike some diametrically opposed. I'm just going by what was told to us this summer by the club. That we were rebuilding, being patient, giving a new squad time etc. And so as bad as it may be/seem right now after just four poor results, I don't think it's justifiable to remove the manager you've backed after just 9 games. Do you?
Swindon Battered the blunts .....average age of 22 and Swindon are not doing too bad ...skint and barely functioning after Di Canio Facked the club up they are holding their own. Im a wessy and watch swindon (local club now) they have a poor support even though they are only club in the football league in Wiltshire. Am from Yorkshire and proud of it but respect that this tin pot club season after season keep punching above their weight !
