    Fair comment. Football is in a sad state now and is so hugely slanted against clubs like us that I'd happily defend the way we've gone about things this season to any outside criticism. Deep down though it saddens me that teams like those of 1981 and 97 who succeeded playing good football would almost never be allowed to flourish today. The game has been poisoned by money, corruption and cynicism. It's never going to get fixed in my lifetime.

    I can't see how anyone can estimate where we will finish next season. At the moment BFC could win the league with record points total or could come bottom with no points. I think in 2026 we will win the Champions League......
    Just before the season starts is time to make an assessment and for me to put on any relevant bets!
