Some have been our books for a season or two but are still kids We started with big Vic as our 3rd oldest player. And he's 23...
Suggesting the manager should apologise is embarrassing. and overanalysing penalties is a waste of time.
Obviously an overreaction. Did we play our 1st eleven? No. Had we played our 1st 11 and lost would it still be an overreaction? Yes. Give it a rest.
I was pro Vic last season, but, let's be honest, he's just not good enough. Had a huge chance tonight to impress Schopp and he blew it!
I thought what is he doing he's making it harder for himself notice he didn't do that again think we could still be taking pena now and he wouldn't have saved one
Some folk want to take a long hard look at themselves with some of the OTT comments It was always going to be a chance for the manager to look at his squad and experiment. Despite that we virtually dominated the first half and with better crossing and a bit of composure we would have had that game won by half time. That game could have saved us some league points if the lessons are learned.
I’d hardly say plenty, 58 goals in 46 games (1.26 pg) but I get your point. Still the problem remains that we can’t convert enough of the chances we create. I’m hopeful that’ll change this season with the signings we’ve made.
Remind me where I said it was our first eleven playing this evening? I've acknowledged it was a much changed team but that second half showing was awful. First eleven, second eleven or even third eleven, it does not matter as they should be able to do the basics like control the ball and complete simple passes. Some of them had a big chance to impress Schopp tonight and they blew it.
Vics been with us what, 4 years back when stendle took over. Unfortunately showing no sign of Improvement imo. We surely can replace and start a scatter gun on another one. I don't think he will ever make it with us. Unfortunately. And miller got his very first start for us. After 2 and half years. We chased him like chuff. And I just don't think personally he's anywhere near good enough. Both still young yes, but very very weak parts of our team tonight. Some players are clearly not cut out for this level as much as it may hurt them to hear it. But you don't get success by being nice. I'm much more optimistic about Thompson. Struggled at times, but I think we should focus on giving him more time then the likes of the 2 players I've unfortunately singled out.
Bolton made five changes tonight. They changed half their team and did us. We made changes yes but so did our opponents. It wasn't our fringe players losing to their first 11. Far from it.
I never suggested that you said it was our 1st 11 I was just pointing out that even if it was your reaction was way over the top. Which it was. Regardless of which 11 played.
Being as you are a regular pedant I’ll just point out we changed more players than they did. I’m not into Bolton so can’t comment on the nature of their changes regarding quality for quality but let’s be right ours was a significant downgrade and also we didn’t lose.
Fans love mediocre players as long as they run about a bit, Chaplin got away with it for 18 months and Cauley is too. That's why it's the so called fringe players getting all the stick and not the main men that should be leading the team.
Is that not the risk with every away game fans travel to? Pretty sure most fans knew we’d rotate the team.
