GKs - James, Green, Robinson DEFs - A Cole, Johnson, Terry, Ferdinand, Upson, Bridge, Lescott MIDs - Lampard, Gerrard, Barry, Lennon, Beckham, J Cole, Walcott, Milner ATTs - Rooney, Crouch, Defoe, C Cole, Owen Think the 4 striker option like in 2006 is risky and of course we will have one or two of these players injured and won't travel. One concern is lack of right-back cover or perhaps Milner supplies that. Owen for me should go if fit.
James Foster Green Johnson ferdinand Terry A Cole Bridge Richards upson walcott Lennon beckham hargreaves Gerrard lampard J Cole Barry Rooney C Cole crouch Defoe heskey
Exactly, we should have hammered em and they went down to 10 men... its obvious he was 9 year old if he thinks that was a good Brazil side, they were there for the taking. Didn't Ronaldhino score that lucky cross/type goal that went over Seamans head? We should have buried them that game.
RE: Exactly, we should have hammered em and they went down to 10 men... I remember them been in a simular situation to what the Argies have just found themselves in needed to win the last game to qualify automatically
joe cole why? ...hes had a smashing season so far!! ferdinand liability...some right **** ups of late carlton cole...no! 3 keepers ...WHY!! I really want him to take owen...dont no why just an incline! Still Early days but i would take: James, Green A.Cole, Upson, Terry, W.Brown, lescott, Jagielka, (johnson or woodgate!(they both need a rocket up thier arses tho)) Young, lampard, gerrard, lennon, walcott, barry, beckham, (milner or carrick) Rooney, Owen, Bent, Heskey, defoe (agbonlohor or crouch )
LOL! That would be a reyt team fearless! Especially Chunk up front Oh and in response to Luke-TYKE.....3 keepers cos it's a rule that you have to take 3 Joe Cole cos he's the only currently injured player i'd gamble on ahead of Hargreaves and co. Carlton Cole cos he's better than Heskey and no Owen cos he'll get injured walking up the steps to the plane at Heathrow.....he should have retired at 25 that kid!
As it stands, if all fit, i'd go... GK: James, Green, Hart
Def: Johnson, Wes Brown, A Cole, Bridge, Terry, Ferdinand, Lescott, M Richards
Mid: Gerrard, Lampard, Barry, Walcott, Beckham, Joe Cole, Lennon, Milner
Att: Rooney, Crouch, Defoe and Darren Bent.
That definately won't be the squad he'll pick, and it should be the 23 players that show the best form heading into the latter end of the season, so the likes of Darren Bent would have to keep scoring to get in. Also Walcott and Joe Cole will have to show some form when they return from injury.
My other considerations and standby players would be: Foster, Jagielka, Ashley Young, Carrick and Agbonlahor

That exactly apart from It depends on who has the best season between, Carlton Cole, Darren Bent and Michael Owen, at the moment i'd take Darren Bent.
