She should be ok from 21st JV, Boris confirms that all weddings can now have unrestricted numbers of guests in the venue from that date
yeah I’m pleased for her. Still not much of a reception after though. No singing / dancing etc but glad she doesn’t have to cancel again.
I would have said at the time they were gutted, but putting a brave face on it? How will they feel now? I'm in the industry, so I have a self interest. With the Euros going on round here in Headingley, there are no real restrictions, with people off their face. That makes the whole policy a private, family event, which could be controlled with PCR tests at full capacity by licensed venues a mystery to me. Rant over.
See Beth Rigby got kicked into touch today, how dare you ask tricky questions and equally tough follow ups!!!
I've just clocked that too. Anyone who suggests this govt have integrity and thinks its how all goverments behave need only look at stunts like that.
My son Craig is getting married to his lovely fiance Sapphire in August and they have planned from the start for a limit of 30 guests. If restrictions are lifted by then, they will invite a further bunch of guests who have been told the arrangements and asked to keep the day free. They are getting married in the Ashton Memorial in Williamson Park in Lancaster where they live and have booked a local micro-brewery/pub for the day and arranged for a Ceilidh band in the evening. I am very proud of the pair of them for being so responsible yet determined to tie the knot and celebrate in a happy but dignified way. Who really needs "wedding companies"? Edited, Many thanks to Arabian Ian.....
Cant see the country opening up in a months time. The epsilon variant will have reached our shores by then.(if its not already here)
Oh I see. We're in the middle. Not at the end. Thank you so much for allowing me to leave my house and get lunch while Im out FFS
The next variant will come from whichever country floodgate Clown Johnson leaves open in pursuit of a trade deal so he can claim Brexit was a success
Infections rising; hospitalisations must follow. Another month = 10 million more jabs. Not difficult really, is it?
No wonder you find it depressing, you’re constantly catastrophizing. Have a go tomorrow at trying to only say positive things, or at least think of a positive every time you think of a negative. I don’t mean post it on here but have a genuine go in your mind to combat negative thinking. It can’t cure major things but it definitely helps to make you feel happier and better equipped to handle minor things. Even if you don’t believe the positive things at first, just repeating the action will trick your brain into believing it. I know what you actually want is restrictions going but that’s not going to happen for at least another month and there’s no benefit to being miserable the whole time if you can do something to feel even a little bit better.
