Which players are increasing in value?

    There wouldn't have been a bid. It was when Southampton were rumoured to be interested and that was the figure quoted.

    That’s kind of my point. People are suggesting that he’ll be sold for a fraction of what his value would’ve been in the summer. But it’s impossible to tell if we never actually rejected any bids for him.

    That’s not to say that I agreed with the CEO’s comments about player value. What he seemed to miss was that last season we had a whole that was worth much more than the sum of its part. But we threw that away by allowing virtually all the staff to leave, then trying to completely change the identity of how we play.!

    Their value is decreasing, and as much of a concern, so is the time left on their contracts.

    We all though longer contracts was a positive, but some are well deep into them now and next year, in L1, we will be into final year syndrome again.
