What are we doing talking about whisky at 9.00am in the morning..... people will think we have a problem..
RE: Side issue how would you take your whisky. Depends on the Whisky.... Jack Daniels with Coke. Some single malts on their own.
with a splash of water, no ice. unless its bells / similar blends or american crap then its better applied externally for stain removal or summat
As it is ... ANYTHING ELSE IS CRIMINAL Some highly skilled artisan has spent 15 years producing something ... and people want to stick ice or water in it!!!!! Drink blended *****, you'll never know the difference once you've ruined it by adding water.
It's like drawing a smile on the Mona Lisa because you think she'd look better happy!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, don't mean to shout, but you've hit a raw nerve there. I concur Splash of water, not too much, water of life (uisge beatha) - perfection!
In Oz I was drinking 330ml cans of Jim Beam and coke, ice cold, very refreshing (5% proof), but you can't call that whisky drinking, more like an alcopop.

I was quite surprised when someone ordered a whisky and was given a can. Whatever next? Hover-shoes si thi.
