I was just about to ask that cause I can't see any and I doubt Whitey would take offence at people not agreeing with his opinion about the blunts.

    Not a wind-up matey.
I happen to have 3 clubs that I despise, and want us to beat into oblivion - Dirty Leeds, The Wendies, and The Blunts.
So I would rather have 2 derby fixtures with them, than 2 nothing games with blummin Stevenage.
As I say in the thread, it is win win with it being Blunts vs Hudds, as it generates an atmosphere, and a healthy crowd. But be honest people - who would you rather beat next season? Town or the Blunts?
I have friends who are of the Wendy and Blunt persuasion, and even though they make us out to be nothing to them, it is complete ****** - they cannot stand us, especially after 15 years where there has been nowt between us. In fact, during that time, I would suggest we have out-done the pair of em.
This past season just gone was awful if am honest, but those derby triumphs are sumat to savour. You wont remember us beating Burnley, or Reading. But you wont forget us doing the dirty double. Just like you cant forget us waving off the Blunts a year ago, after Danny Haynes' late leveller.
I am a tarn fan, and derbies with the deedars are dear to me. It opens up a year of rivalry, banter, and local bragging rights.
To those who say they hate the Blunts, and want em to rot etc, I just dont get it. I would rather have the opportunity to finish above them, after beating them twice.
    .
Btw, I wasnt offended in the slightest by this thread. I knew somebody off here would find my UP THE BLUNTS posts. Nice one Conan.
And again, on playoff final day, I shall be cheering on the Red and White W@nkers

Had it not been for the Morgan/Hume incident

and the appalling way that the club and its supporters tried to gloss over it and make excuses for a totally inexcusable assault, I would have had the same attitude as Whitey.

As a general rule I am not one to bear grudges but the whole thing left such a bitter taste that I now automatically associate the Blunts with all that is wrong in the world today. The only way I'll ever look at it any differently is if the Blunts chairman/board of directors and the supporters club sent an official apology to Barnsley FC and supporters. Only words I know, but it would at least be an admission that their attitude was unacceptable. An apology from the FA for their lack of action wouldn't go amiss either.

The FA did not act because two people at BFC were blowing off about court action. They should have kept their gobs shut.

Hudders for me now, they'll fill the away end these days, sadly the blunts won't.

I'll just laugh at whichever one doesn't come up....can't stand either of them and I never enjoy derby games, they are just too tense.....would much rather we were in a higher division to them

Same for me, i'd rather huddersfield cause at least they'll bring a fair amount of support with them, get a bit of atmosphere.

Whereas the blunts will bring about 1,500 even though its a 20 minute train ride.......
