    For a Cambridge player

Who always seemed to score against us, I'd have suggested George Reilly (who did the same whilst at Northampton Town).

At stages Fleming got almost as much unwarranted abuse as Wiseman has had it was only when he played sweeper that it stopped

    Nope

He was a big, gangly, blonde haired striker who went on to play for Watford & Newcastle. He played for Watford in the 1984 FA Cup Final against Everton, after scoring the only goal in the Semi Final victory over Plymouth at Villa Park.
Speaking of that 5-0 defeat against Northampton (who went on to win promotion), one of their goalscorers that day was right winger Graham Felton. He then joined us a couple of weeks later on loan. After putting in some impressive performances, he was signed on a free transfer that Summer, along with a certain Brian Joicey. Felton's displays were never as good as previously, unfortunatey. So Iley brought in Neil Warnock from Aldershot instead.

I know, I know. I bore for England.

    Rodney Jack, for Crewe.

Saw Rodney last season, playing for Nantwich Town at Ossett. Looked about 60. Played like it too :)

I don't think you necessarily have to have 5+ seasons in to attain that status. I think it is about making your mark in the history of the club and having a passion and rapport with the fans.

For me it would be hard to leave out any of the 15-16 man squad that won promotion in 1997.

Re: What criteria has to be met

Some were saying Higgy couldn't be a legend as he didn't stay long enough.

Personally I think a legend is someone who stays and performs well enough over a number of years (Bobby, McCarthy etc) or has such an impact in a short time they will always be remembered (Higgy, Howard (for Liverpool match alone)etc)

In a nutshell its up to you:p
