In no particular order - the berk, Flitcroft, the board. Most of all I blame the players but they're only here because of the above.
I should have had the players as an option, but I can't add to the poll options so....? As I say, I'm useless and ashamed of myself.
To be fair you're not far wrong given that most clubs are owned by people who've got rich through either neo-liberalism or privatisation of the state and are blowing their ill-gotten gains on footballing vanity projects. All at the expense of the fans .
It was obvious at the start of the season that we had major problems it needed sorting but nothing was done maybe the summer changes were too much behind the scenes and not enough concentration on the first team?
Which predicament? The current state of the economy? The confusion over the new rail line HS2? The fact that are lass has lost her 'pills' so no "how's your father" until she can get to doctors! (Haha we used to say, - "just pull out before you get to Dodworth" The reds at the bottom of the table?
The modern malaise of football. Overpaid players at our club (which for most of them is the highest level they will ever play at) who to be honest are failing to show any respect or commitment to our club. The power of the oligarchies in the premiership and sky and the ridiculous situation with the parachute payments which rewards failure and props up badly run clubs. Keith Hill who's arrogance belied little managerial talent when like most of the deadwood he signed when promoted above his ability has set us back to the dark days of last time we were relegated. Although we should all be grateful to Patrick Cryne I think in saving us a little heart has been ripped out of our club. Their was an opportunity to turn us into a real community based club I'm not talking about spending money here just listening properly to what the supporters want and responding. Oakwell used to have a lovely friendly atmosphere and you got to know people who worked in the shops etc. this has been lost with the disastrous in PR terms of franchising out. I used to feel part of something used to feel that my tribal loyalty was not being overly exploited now I just feel that my loyalty is being constantly exploited. I understand the short term reasons for this approach but it needs to be addressing we need local pride and chauvinism in our club. It needs to be more than a cheap slogan. At the same time those who think me Cryne should chuck his money into the club are daft we need to live within our means and he's not a bottomless pit. The reality is that given the way that football is now financed due to the influence of Sky and The Premiership it is incredibly difficult for us to compete at Championship level. Lastly we the supporters are to blame. There is too much apathy. Too many fans who spend all their time doing the club down and not enough getting gehind them.
We are the emblems of our club. We stand firm. Players come. Players go. Managers come. Managers go. We are the standard bearers without us there is no club. With that comes responsibility. It's not about being blindly supportive it's about being engaged and involved. Otherwise we shouldn't be surprised when we get things we aren't happy with.
The 18k that went to wembley and cardiff, we'd have a championship budget if they came and invested We have a league one budget and thats down to our piss poor support and nothing else.
