What a load of toss I'm unhappy with how the club is being run and I'm voting with my feet. I may cave in once the Meadowhall invites start to come but as it stands I won't be renewing my season ticket. I'm not a blind faith supporter. The ones "at Wembley" were largely relatives of the mainstays and were never likely to come to any home game unless out of curiosity. By all means go and watch 'em next season but don't start f.cuking bellyaching when Davey signs 8 more right-footed central midfielders in the close season. I'll be back when he's gone.
What if we start doing well? I realise that you think that's unlikely but it's not out of the question. Say if we had another cup run like last season would you boycott those games? I think it's probably time for Davey to go, but his presence is not going to stop me from supporting my team.
RE: What if we start doing well? If we have a cup run playing JCR in a central midfield role, Macken at left back and Steele up front then I still wouldn't be there. I'm as stubborn as the Welsh wizard himself If, by some miracle, we start playing atttractive football, players in correct positions and stop using Alistair Campbell levels of spin through the "unofficial" Barnsley One website/RNL appearances then I'll come crawling back like the hypocrite I am.
Couldn't disagree more At the end of the day, if you think that Davey is a liability who is eventually (inevitably) going to get us relegated sooner or later, it is your responsibility as a supporter of the club not to support the man in what he is doing. We are lucky to still be in this division at this moment in time, very lucky. I love this club and I won't give the owner the impression that I'm content with Davey in charge by queuing up for tickets like a sheep. I feel for the players because I know they are actually a reasonably talented bunch - we've had much much worse in other eras, and they could do so much better if they only had a decent boss. Oh, and by the way, I couldn't give a stuff whether you think that makes me a 'proper' fan or not, I've been with this club through thick and thin for more than the last 25 years - who made you the judge and jury?
Stupid post So somebody that says that for the good of their club they will vote with their feet and not pay a penny until the manager holding us back is sacked is harming the club? Couldn't it be argued that those who are burying their heads in the sand and accepting abject failure are doing more harm than good?
