You don't get to Stairfoot and see "Welcome to Wombwell" signs do you? When you come from Brampton you see the "Welcome To Barnsley" signs though. Wombwell is definitely part of Barnsley...

... maybe thats because, the Wombwell/Barnsley boundary is the River Dove at Aldham. </p>

btw ... there were signs saying &quot;Wombwell Welcomes Carefull Drivers&quot; until B.M.B.C took 'em down a few years ago, during some road maintainence.</p>

I hope that you and yours are well. Julie, the current Mrs Didcot Red was born in Abingdon (Nearest club Abingdon United or League club Swindon Town at that time). Richard, Robert and James we borne at the JR hospital in Oxford within a good clearance (excluding Kevin Miller or now Paul Robinson) of Oxford United's Manor ground (Now a hospital and appartments).

 

The JR is doing well for junior reds

I live in Witney and both mine were born at the JR.

One is 11 months and the other is approaching 3 and another one is on the way. I'm not sure they know they are reds yet, but ...

Congratulations & well done. The secret is not to take them to any games where the reds are not involved. It worked with mine. Even the current Mrs DR is keen as mustard now.

However, you still see the Barnsley signs coming in from Brampton though which I think is the more pertinent point.

A lot of the villages have the careful driver signs but they're still classed as Barnsley...
