Sorry mate , my reply was not meant to be curt, I get mixed with him and his brother, I forget which one was the winger. I know they are both playing as defensive midfielders now.
You must forgive me as I missed all his good games last season as I was not there !! ;)

I'd say Pedersen but maybe give him chance to fit in. He has got quality but just doesn't feature enough in games- partly the team's fault, partly his.

Dawson at least looks hungry; I doubt his quality but maybe his bite will be useful. I don't think TK's good enough really but neither is he the calamity some paint out. We'd need summat better to get rid for me. He's steady, but not creative and shouldn't be taking set pieces.

Ramage doesn't seem good enough to me, lets players slip through to the point that we may as well be training Mvoto up (who does the same once a match) but is good aerially and generally improving.

Also see whether Jennings gives a toss about us, as there's probably lots of wages there

I don't get the Dawson hatred, think he has a role to play and surely before his injury last season he was going to be player of the season wasn't he? mind you Perkins also won that award didn't he?...

Don't think he's great or owt like but I find it a bit strange that the same stick that is used to beat an essentially defensive minded midfield player (tries hard, but no skill, toiler) is the same one used to kiss O'Briens arse who is supposed to be a creative attacker and who offers nothing more. Maybe it's cos O'Briens a reyt character on twitter.

Btw I don't dislike O'Brien - think hes crap but seems a nice bloke and he's played best I've ever seen him lately, just pointing out the double standards.

I was on the training ground , that is no mystery and I have said what happened there before. It is on here.
Other things i will not say, Time to move on.
Wilson is the new boss, the others are just bad memories.

It's not double standards; they're different players. O' Brien is faster and covers much more of the pitch. Also gets in more dangerous positions (whilst often lacking final product, sadly) than Dawson

We are talking about professional footballers though?

People who train day in, day out to basically kick a ball?

I know roles are different, but I do object to the "this is the position I like" , and the "****** to this, doesn't he know I'm **** hot in central midfield" attitude. Just p:$$ off if you don't want to put a shift in.

Kelvin was ok in centre mid last season, but if he can't be arsed to even make a fist of it for the cause, get rid.

O'Brien might be faster but he couldn't beat an egg, he may charge up and down the line more, (never with the ball mind) but he gets in dangerous positions by default of playing on the wing and does nothing with it.

this is wikipedia based cos I'm lazy but

    Dawson 54 games 4 goals

    O'Brien 95 games 6 goals

SO A VERY SLIGHTLY BETTER GOALS TO GAMES RATIO FOR THE DEFENSIVE PLAYER - I WIN :D

I'd say just Scotland, possibly Jones although I doubt he's not mega money so he might be happy to keep him around unless someone wants to take him.

Don't think he'll get rid of Kennedy as even if we sign a left back we still need some cover there.

I think he'd make a good fullback alla Kieron Richardson

For me, Kennedy and perhaps Etuhu. But both have 18 months remaining and could prove hard to shift.
I'd happily send Ramage and Pedersen back, too. But whatever happens, I trust Danny. We should all do so.

Totally forgot about him - he's gone from looking a solid asset to the team to someone who looks like they've never played football before.

I really don't understand this comparing stats of our holding midfielder Dawson to our wingers & attacking midfielders, in this case O'Brien & previously McCourt & Cwyka.

It's a ridiculous argument, it's like a Chelsea fan comparing Mikel to Oscar or Hazard or a Liverpool fan comparing Lucas to Countinho.

If you think Dawson is **** then fair enough but comparing his goals & assists to our wingers goals & assists to prove it is beyond stupid

wind your neck in and read what i put, I was saying that Dawsons goal record stands up against our wingers and so shouldn't get bashed as much as he does for not contributing going forward
