Kent's end product was dreadful for us. Did all the hard work, but awful when it came to the final third.
For me, that team finishes mid-table without Dike. At the same time, we get relegated with a record low number of points without McBurnie (and Kieffer Moore).
He certainly was. He was quite rotund by the time he came our way, but he didn't need to move, he just had a natural ability to make the game look easy. He oozed class.
Sorry but Barnes was superb for the short time he was with us. We went downhill when he went back to Leicester.
2 ways of looking at it. In my lifetime best player we’ve loaned would be Trippier. The best performances by a loanee in a Barnsley shirt would be McBurnie.
True Leicester recalled him as they didn't want him in a struggling side and we were very poor and dropping like a stone. At one point only him and Bradshaw scoring.
My memory playing tricks looking at that mate. Kent definitely. Probably got Barnes mixed up. Tried going through recent squads. Possibly Crowley who I'm thinking about. Great at beating people but final ball poor to say the least.
Dike scored the same amount as mcburnie while on loan here 9. And dike chipped in with 4 assists. I think dike performed as good if not better than mcburnie.
We once signed a full back from Derby years and years ago.......was fantastic on loan but crap after we made signing permanent......anybody remember his name?
