    RE: Not a band but

On listening all of John's and all of Pauls bootlegs, there is no doubt in my mind that Paul was the true creative genius behind the Beatles. Some of the stuff Paul has never released is some of his best. I can't believe some of the stuff he has left on the shelf. He was doing punk in 1973 with Wings, but must have thought it too ahead of it's time.

    RE: Couldn't agree more.

best of would be a great album with a mix of the first 3 albums but everything after that is utter *****.

Right place, right time, nothing more, nothing less.

A few good tunes but there were loads of grounbreaking bands around at the time.

Overrated..Factiest Fact in the world of Facts, bar none.

I have decreed this to be incontrovertable, immutable.

Agree that 1st three were best.

Not heard a lot of it since but what I have heard is OK. still better than the scourge of the genre..Coldplay...now that IS dour rubbish.

    They are/were seriously overrated.

Went downhill after the Night at the Opera album.
