Oli Shaw is also playing/ I know he’s our player but will presumably miss out as well as Martin

Martin was fantastic in a whatevertheJohnstonePaintTrophyisnowcalled game at home, and I raved about him, saying he should be straight in the team. Since then it has seemingly been his mission to make me look a fool.

He's not had a lot of game time. Agreed he's been poor when he's come on in some games. Let's not write players off that get limited minutes, but I'd agree he is down the batting order in my book. A lot of good players for us have looked poor at first. Danny Wilson & Ronnie Glavin spring to mind. Probably not in that league, but Duff is doing a great job & if he comes on let's give him a chance. He might score the winner, who knows?

I said the same but as John Peachey points out he's never had a proper run in the team. Add him to the list of players written off as "never been a footballer" on the strength of a couple of full games.
I don't think he's going to be given the chance to stake his claim with us though.

If Martin scores the winner we'll have played proper toss.

Both Tedic and Martin. The pair of them are absolutely woeful and offer nothing. We have much better players playing for the U21’s and even the U18’s.

    That's interesting.

Who are the much better players?

Marsh, Jalo, Dyer, Monteiro, Anaman, Chapman.

We have a very good crop of young players at the club, the U18’s are top of their league. Don’t get why we’d develop players for the likes of Man City and Norwich when we should instead focus on developing our own young players and look to unearth the next Jacob Brown.

Well I've seen a fair bit of Marsh and Jalo and they are not much better than Tedic and Martin. In my opinion.

Jalo was described as a superstar on here when he scored 2 goals against Donny. Who else scored 2 goals in that game? I think it was Martin

Dyer looked promising when I saw him.

I was told a while ago by a very good source that we had a great crop of youngsters coming through, but it hasn't turned out that way.

I'm all for home grown players for obvious reasons, but we can't hang around waiting to see if they're going to be good enough.

Good luck to those youngsters you namecheck.

Literally every striker at the club is better than Tedic, he’s a complete carthorse. If he’s really on £13K a week like he’s rumoured to be on, then his agent must be a f’king wizard.

As for Martin, no doubt the kid has talent but he’s not shown it apart from the Donny cup game as you brought up. He plays like he doesn’t give a ***** and doesn’t want to be here.

Watters should miss out. Let him earn his place back in the squad, he's been carrying an injury and we've scored loads without him.

Have to say im still waiting for Tedic to show me he’s got what it takes at this level he seems to struggle to do the basics well and obviously he’s at Man City but how long do we give him above our own players.

Martin shouldn't be anywhere near the first team squad regardless of if you're allowed 1 loanee in the squad or 100. Absolutely useless and never even looks like he's trying.

Tedic is about 0.000001% better than him.
