Fergie blamed a 4-0 half time scoreline at Southampton on that kit, said his players couldn't see each other. He made them change into another kit at ht, they lost the 2nd half too. IIRC.

Mid 70s England kit, but first club kit was the 80 ish Taits one. Wish I'd still got that one, might even fit me

That does ring a bell, it might be the same game though, the kit against the grass made them invisible.

A grey Everton shirt. My birthday was coming up and my sister worked at one of the sports shops in town so she got me that dirt cheap. Never supported Everton before or after, but it's the thought that counts.

Next birthday I got a full Barnsley kit, although it took me many years to realise that the shorts and socks were actually from the market rather than the kosher kaboodle!

Only ever owned Barnsley shirts in terms of UK teams - have had the odd shirt from other leagues, plus a few different national team shirts too.

My first Barnsley shirt was from 94/95 - doesn't quite fit me now, but the shirts I had in 95/96 (Black/blue striped away) and the promotion season home shirt (wore it at Yeovil!) still fit me!

Think mine was a Spurs shirt from the mid 80's. Had Holsten Pils on the front anyway.
