Sorry but Danny has been here and done it, leave him in the past.
Those names are just not very realistic.

cos there's a lot of poor managers out there i guess, that people don't fancy. always the case with a new manager hunt. personally, not ar$sed. i just want someone in quick, to get cracking. apart from appleton, who's truly appalling

Agreed about Appleton, who seems to be the least favoured choice of everyone on here.

Odds on him have shortened massively as well, 3/1 earlier, now 7/4. Wonder what the bookies are basing this on?

I really want us to aim higher, just don't think Wilson is the man to take us forward. Yes he did fantastic with us, but 16 years ago! Times have changed, the league has changed. What has he ever done in this league in the last what....10 years?

When I said why can't we aim a little higher, I was replying to your post, Offspring, which said:

"Forget the likes of Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Solskjaer, Mike Phelan etc. Just not going to happen!"

As I said, just why can't we aim a little higher?

Why? I don't get that. Just because he has been here before doesn't for me rule out him coming here again.

I appreciate that he hasn't managed in this division for a number of years but he has been in and around the game for most of that time, and has always done well, in every division he's managed in, over a long period.

He is experienced, proven, available, and popular, albeit not universally, but then who would be?

There are one or two good options out there, but for me, DW has to be amongst the front runners.

Put it this way, I would be enthused enough to get a season ticket next year with DW in charge, even if we drop. I can't honestly say the same about, say Megson.

Megson got WBA promoted twice to the top league, they had been there before.
Wilson got BFC promoted to the top league for the first time ever!

The out of work managers don't inspire me to be honest, so maybe someone in work?
Steven Pressley of Coventry seems to be doing a cracking job under the circumstances there? And he wouldn't cost us much surely with the trouble they are in.
