    Chris Waddle!

I remember as a kid writing an ongoing story about a new football club who had all fictional players but with Chris Waddle making a star appearance in the team just because I thought he was ace. Funnily enough the players were signed for the club through a process of submitting CVs. No trials or previous professional clubs required. Bizarre but then Graeme Souness used the same method.

My childhood hero football wise was fellow Dodworther Pat Howard. After he left, it was Mick Butler.

My first ever live game was a friendly when Liverpool played at Scunthorpe in 1981 - it was Ray Clemence's last ever game for Liverpool, and their team that day also included Hansen, Dalgleish, and Rush as a substitute - I can't remember any of that, but the lineup was available online :) (https://www.lfchistory.net/SeasonArchive/FriendlyGame/8124)
