Re: Roberto Di Matteo Di Matteo is sat on £130k p/w from Chelsea for doing nowt! Why risk ruining his reputation to come here for a relative pittance? Didn't Holloway say he needed a break from the game when he left Palace?
Re: With the budget Flitcroft has had available, no need to scrape the barrel For example few would have expected Phil Brown or Peter Taylor to drop to division four with their records. I think we'd be surprised as well with the names we'd get linked to in this new era.
Holloway would be my no1 choice if we could get him. He went to Blackpool so not totally out of the question. Matteo is a crackers suggestion though. Unrealistic with both tbh. Wilson would be my choice.
Re: Roberto Di Matteo Holloway won't come up North. And you must be smoking crack if you think we could tempt RDM.
Re: Roberto Di Matteo But this is the problem. Some of our lot really do think we could attract someone who won the European Cup a couple of years ago and who would effectively be walking away from £130k per week to come to us. The long list of applicants who would be queuing up to manage us would be along the lines of Keith Curle and Stan Ternant. Either that or an inexperienced new manager. I just hope Flicker doesn't go down without a fight. If he were to get sacked after playing cautiously for a few games he would really regret it. He should line up the team next week with the sole intention of attacking Birmingham. We may still lose, but at least he'll then go out on his shield. As we showed against Ipswich though, if we press teams and attack them we can cause the opposition a lot of problems. Come on Flicker, sort it out and cheer us all up!
