Yes - Despite the hysteria I think we've done okay ... We've not had any recognised strikers in the team all season (yes arguable Daveys fault and it needs addressing). We spent over £1m on proven Championship goal scorer... and then had him hospitalised and out for the season. Think about games like Derby at home when it was heading for a draw and then a moment of brilliance outside the box turned it into a win - we've not had that since he's been injured. And to top it off we lost an awful lot of goals from midfield in losing Brian Howard. Considering the elements that have been missing I think it's a minor miracle we're not down already. I think that next season is last chance saloon for Davey and many times this season it's not been the best entertainment but at the end of the day I'm a Barnsley fan, I watch football on a Saturday, I don't wander round meadowhall looking at the shops and nor would I want to. I'll be buying in the same way I do every year.
I'll buy one cos after 36 years I'm beyond cure!! My patience with Mr Davey has long run out though I'm afraid. If he stays it'll be another season battling releagtion from the Championship or mid-table mediocrity in League 1.
It's a way of life - of course I will buy 2 Show me something better to do on a Saturday afternoon & I'll reconsider. Til then I shall look forward to the match at the weekend, enjoy the banter on here, meet my friends for a beer & take my daughter to watch the Reds. The division is insignificant.
theirs no way in this world am i watching that dross in league 1 week in week out i might try and do a good percentage off away games instead and not bother with the home games any more
i enjoy the day out at away games so it will make up for the ***** i'm having to watch a good drink and laff with mates and that ***** wont get a penny of mine as my money will be going to the home team
Time you changed your bloody name then to whinging tyke. How can you call yourself hardcore then say not going to home games but may go to away games Barnsley FC will still be here when Davey has long gone, no matter what the league. That is unless those on here who say they are not renewing / not going cause the club to go under or PC to say sod it and walk away. Okay it does not look promising, but I will still be there along with 1000's of others,
RE: My Dad bought me my first one for the 1969/70 season I'll be renewing mine regardless of manager and division. Thought we were Barnsley til we die.
