When Mansford was asked about it he said they couldn't compete with the town centre. In other words - the owner isn't interested.
It's stuff like this that puts me off conversing with you, mate. Why not discuss and reason with someone trying his best to help and advise etc? Little sharp remarks like that I find distasteful to say the least. I think 'the owner' has enough on his plate, don't you? And like I say, there's a CEO in place, there are forums and meetings etc where opportunities are offered to raise issues and suggestions. You've complained incessantly about things, I've tried to relay back to you. Sounding off about Patrick (the asterisks were obvious the other day by the way) might lift you, but I just find it unpleasant and pointless when you're conversing with me, media monkey.
I have to take a break from time to time. The absolute drivel on here from a very vocal minority affects my usual, jovial mood. Now **** off, I'm sleeping.
They can't compete with the town centre. Three pints for about a fiver in a number of pubs in town. What does the clubs catering company charge? Almost 4 quid.
Redfearns is always packed before kickoff which would suggest it would pay off. The old social club which used to be behind the Ponte end was also rammed so much so that they had to turn people away. £3 a pint would compete with most town centre pubs bar Wetherspoons which is not every one's cup of tea anyway.
Refearns is run on a no profit basis. The staff get no pay other than a few ales. It also holds couple hundred max. Increasing its size would mean employing staff on a casual basis and working within a closer remit to the club. Not excluding any costs to develop it. So prices will be higher than town... Three quid is about the top end price for a pint in town if you avoid lacorum and funky budda.
