Hope so, I repeat we should want to win every match always.

 

The reason I wanted Wilson out was the football being produced by his team was shocking. It was embarrassing to see him being out thought and out witted by nearly every manager he came up against. Players played out of position , negative tactics deluded post match interviews , blowing money on the likes of Lita, Hemmings , Treacy, Brown , Bailey then panicking when it didn't work and having to flood the team with loan players which was totally against what we were trying to achive. We went down last season under him with a whimper despite Cryne letting him recruit plenty of Premier League loanees , and we've gone into this season with the same spineless displays . Apart from 3 games this season , Gillingham , Bradford and Rochdale we've been shocking and just not good enough. When you see loyal fans nearly fighting with each other at MK Dons because of his teams displays its obvious something has to change. We we're just going backwards in a downward spiral with performances that were starting to make the most hard core supporters question if they could be bothered to travel around the country watching his teams displays. Picking 4 central defenders at home against Fleetwood then moaning the full backs weren't getting forward was just typical of Wilson, Lalkovic taken off the wing and put into the middle when he'd ripped Oldham apart the previous home game were proof he was losing the plot . He had no idea of his best side and had about as much chance of getting us out of this division as Ben Mansford does of giving a straight answer. A stupid short sighted appointment that just divided the fans straight away like no other I can remember. The bloke had a decent season and a half going on 20yrs ago and done bugger all since. The football we've had to endure this last year has been some of the worst boring football I've witnessed at Oakwell in 40 years and he deserved to be released from his duties.

 

As I said it wasn't aimed at you, it was just a general observation that some fans (not just on here) were gleeful in their celebrations that such a great man in our recent history had been sacked in rather dubious circumstances.

No I was sure you didn't think that, I just wanted the more sensible Danny out posters to know I wasn't having a go at them personally. I never get personal on here and just because I was a big supporter of Danny and was (still am) very angry at what happened to him I respect and understand the views of those who have an opposing view.

I disagree with much of all that, but fair play for giving a proper explanation. I do agree with some of it, and I prefer this kind of post (personally) than the one liner nonsense from a few others.

Sending my 100 words in on agreeing with the decision - albeit begrudgingly.

I'd posted my thoughts on here but only got responses agreeing, rather than any debate, which was a little disappointing.

I think he did panic, but then any manager that comes to Barnsley knows that they aint got long to gerrit reight before the crowd and more importantly arr board start to panic and then they`re art of a job.

After saying that, a few of arr managers have earnt more from us after being sacked than they have whilst in the job with rolling contracts. It`s like paying for 2 managers at once. Maybe thats what we should do employ 2, one for away games and one for home games.
