The away end was split for most of its first season open. I sat in it against Blackburn, Vale and Ipswich. Was awful, that Ipswich game. Two goals in a minute. Killed us in terms of automatic promotion.
Sat in North stand once prob in about 2001 or 02 when we hammered Gillingham. Can't remember if it was split or just Bfc fans
I was in the North for the Blackburn game, but didn't we score 5? Was there with my Dad and my Blackburn supporting next door neighbour
They took around 30,000 I think, but it was their first ever trip to Wembley. I very much doubt they'll sell 4000 so if demand requires it we should put barnsley fans in the remainder of the stand if possible.
Been on general sale 30 mins and the sales look good. East and Ponty will be limited availability by the end of the day.
if we sell the other stands out, do you think we will get more than 15,000 going? if the weather stays as it is i think people will rather sit at home and watch it on the tv
This game has captured the imagination like the JPT final - you have to be there to savour the atmosphere, it's not the same watching it on telly. We sold 12,000 for the last home match so surely we'll sell at least 14,000 for the biggest game of the season. Along with Walsall's 4,000 that would make it an 18,000 gate.
I don't know if we would but it'd be a crap effort if not. If we can take 25000 to Wembley for the JPT we should easily have 15000 at our home ground at 15 quid a pop. If our turnaround this season and the result on Sunday isn't enough to entice our fairweather fans then nothing ever will.
I would imagine kick off time and sky to could be a factor to some. Plus some of us cannot plan Saturday's in May properly.
