If I wasn't happy with it...

I wouldn't be doing it. I fail to see how, from what I've been taught, there's need for advanced courses. What there should be is a certain number of lessons you must have before you have your test because, mostly, it is them who pass after 20 lessons or so, first time, that are the boy racers. The ones I know anyway...

I didn't imply that at all

Once again you are twisting my words.

You'll have to show me exactly where I "spouted" about how fast I went in the past though.

Are you trying to argue with facts? Good luck with that.

There's no need for advanced training?

    OK then.

So, if you were to do your advanced training you'd breeze through it no problem. Yeh, right.

It's there to teach you how to drive/ride properly, i.e. what they don't teach you on your basic test/lessons.

    Sorry mighty master...

Because my immaturity towards your inane bull that you keep spouting means I'm immature on the road. Of course.

    There you go again

If you've never done advanced training how can you dissmiss it?

There's so much you've got to learn on the road yet, but you think you know it all? Just as dangerous as being a boy racer, which you claim not to be.

    You truely are...

a fountain of knowledge. And by that I mean of all things to do with my driving ability. Because quite clearly my instructor is incompetent and cannot teach me how to drive properly. Oh and I have the wrong attitude because I'm 18. And thanks for being as patronising in all this as you possibly could be. You truely are one of the greats of our time.

You really are the worst person to go spouting off about young drivers and excessive speed.

Glass houses and bricks come to mind.

    Now there you go...

    twisting my words.
Where did I say I knew it all? Where did I even make a reference, or say anything which came close to me knowing it all?
In fact I don't think it's twisting my words. I think it's an assumption you've made based on stereotypical views.

    Woohoo!!

"let's twist again, like we did last summer."

We've gone from being the main source of deaths on the road to being immature because we don't agree with him. What next?

And he's gone from a prat to a lovely person in less than half an hour. Good work.

    Go on then

tell me how you came to that conclusion.

Because I ride a bike it must mean I go fast?

You have posted more than once about the speeds that you have done

And stated that you would continue to do them where you considered it to be safe. You've also mentioned numerous near misses that you've have had as well as a few stupid accidents that were all of your own doing.

Just to point that out like [IMG]

RE: You don't need to "modify" a car to want to go fast

[img=you will go through a speed stage, everyone does]

I havent yet (young driver, now into my 4th year), I don't see the point.

Neither has my mate at work (1 year, 21), or another mate at work (no idea how many years, 26).

But then we look at the others who shoot out of the carpark every morning as quick as they can and boast of the speed they manage. Two 40 odd year olds, crappy old cars, been driving for years and a 35 (ish) year old manager in a posh car).

So the sample there would seem to suggest that middle aged men are more likely to drive crazy in order to prove that they are still young, whereas the more sensible younger drivers don't see the point.

Everyone is different and there are some crazy young drivers that think speed is good but they are a small sample. Older drivers are just as bad.

If anyone should have to take an extra test it should be everyone who has been driving X number of years to make sure they are still up to standard.

RE: What's that got to do with the price of fish?

I don't see how doing an advanced course would alter anyones driving. Half the people I know don't drive as they did to pass their original test ne'er mind an advanced one. Most openly admit that they would fail a test now if they were to re-take it.
