I was simply pointing out the reality of our finances in comparison with other clubs and did suggest we may be living "more or less" within our means which is the stated objective of the owners.
If the stated objective is to live within our means, then they can't also have an objective to be an established Championship club. That would require growth, which in turn requires investment in all areas of the club. But to my original point on this thread, if we're still resigned to losing players as a blanket rule to the likes of Stoke, Preston, Blackburn etc... then we're not paying / offering our best players enough. Probably because we're paying too much to too many players that aren't playing.
