In seriousness, there are some complimentary comments on there mixed in with the dross (just like on any forum). You love to see it.
I think they're just bitter, because their season ticket holders have to pay for a match pass on ifollow every game, and ours don't.
Still on the to do list, along with fixing the boiler, sorting the refunds, and getting out the relegation zone!!
I did read that thread yesterday, some of them think they will finish above us even with their 6 point deduction! They are clearly insane in the membrane.
They clearly will, because they’re massive! One flew over the owls nest... I watched bits of their games against Millwall when ours was cancelled. I usually watch a local game if one is on and we’re not playing. It gave me much pleasure to see them get absolutely hammered. My observations were, that their team looked old, slow, mediocre talent, and disinterested. With the exception of Bannan. They were out of shape, both in position and physically. And lost 1-4. Now I know any club can have their bad day. But they were really bad. I was shocked. Afterwords, I realised it’s because I’m used to watching the reds. Even when we play badly, we have pace and desire. Every player running for the cause. I’ve watched Rotherham play as well. They seem to be growing into the championship. A good attitude, but just lacking the quality. However, they have started picking up over recent weeks. I think on recent performances they may stay up.
I don’t want to tempt fate but this is one of the few years I’m not worried about relegation. After 28 games we have 39 points. Even after the poor start to the season we are averaging 1.4 ppg. On most measures of survival 50 points is the usual threshold. So we need 11 points from 18 games, I’m pretty confident, based on current form we can achieve that, or put in a ppg format 0.6 ppg. Four wins will see us sat on 51 points. I also had a quick look on Betfair, we are 33/1 for relegation Owls 4/3. Sort of speaks volumes.
Firstly av said before am not fussed about em going down cos ah still find the thrill ov beating Wendy's tops any other win for me and to beat em ya got to play em..also Still one of biggest games at Oakwell and rakes in loads cash in normal times..but 20th if March ah think, is the chance to do the double....and were in reight form...COYR
As has been said, some of them do actually believe that we are better than them in many ways. It's good to see "praise" like this from other fans, no matter who. I can handle this, even from swfc fans, so long as they don't keep referring back to the "we're bigger than you" model. If it was us in their position we'd be looking for excuses too. All football fans bleed the same colour.
Not forgetting that we only stayed up because of Wigan’s points deduction (true) but they could also end up staying up due to some of their points deduction overturned.
