I will just keep going and giving my support. Give it another 6 games for the squad to really gel, new players only just started. I will leave the decision of whether to sack the manager to the man who really matters, PC. He is the one with the money in the club and he is the one who is best placed to decide whether SD goes or not. No panic yet.
did you go to Anfield? and Wembley? Palace away under Ritchie was the single worst performance I've seen for a decade from a Barnsley team, and it was that performance that prompted Patrick push the button.
There you go again JC presuming Ritchie would have took us down are you any different to those that said Davey will take us down. Also not a hard prediction to make that your belief is that "this manager and players will improve the position we are in" when we are sitting at the bottom of the league.
RE: You're wrong there. Rick Holden has stated they knew they
Is that why Holden went AWOL?

No idea but Holden stated they knew on the Friday that they were going the following week in an interview on Real Radio. Didn't say how they knew, just that they knew.
Said they and the players were completely flat for the Palace game. Not surprising really.

No idea, you'd best ask him that one. All I know is that he wasn't a happy bunny about it all and when Ritchie wanted him at Huddersfield he didn't want the hassle again. So, it wouldn't surprise me if that's why he took off. He'd have had to sorthis physio practice out to take the reins again so it sounds pretty possible.
Can't recall all that he said but if you remember Ritchie was supposed to be talking with Shep about a new contract he had been promised when Shep turned down the Fowlsapproach for Ritchie. Those talks had stopped abruptly and it was something to do with that which had brought it out I think. As much as I can recollect I'm afraid.
You asked a question and I gave you an answer ...it has nothing to do with what my personal belief is about Davey, because that wasn't the question. I happen to agree that it is time to let Davey go - but you've completely missed my point and you've been unnecessarily rude in doing so. Congratulations.
I agree that he did pull off a miracle to keep us up in his first year - but he hasn't really built substantially on that. Yes, I believe that the team/squad are better, but Davey doesn't know what to do on match day to make that work and effect change in the league table. We haven't had to run with cheap imports - we have been paying good money for the likes of Hume, Hammill and Anderson (Anderson may be foreign but he's not cheap) and Macken. We have never 'done well' in the league under Davey and we always finish the season fighting relegation on the final day. I'm tired of the (at best) 'unbeaten runs' which consist of us scraping draws playing a five man midfield. If we were midtable ('if' and 'ands') I'd be a warm supporter of Simon Davey and I'd be insane not to be. I trust my fellow Barnsley fans feel the same way. This is not personal about Davey (those who abuse him verbally are out of order) - this is about the fact that we had to get shut of this 'little poor club' image and mentality and start mixing it up a bit. I've just about had it with doffing my cap to nearly every side in the division and trying to get a sense of achievement out of not being relegated. We can do so much better than that.
