When you go to matches how do you know you are getting on the correct bus?

I remember you effectively saying that all coppers current and past are murderers and liars. I tried to reason with you that my old man was a copper who certainly isn't a murderer or a liar. You just kept on 'bullying' me with the same bigoted views throughout the thread which were deeply offensive to me.

You seem to be a bit of a knob at times to me. But so are many posters, including myself. I generally ignore your posts these days because of said thread and the fact I reasoned that you're a bit thick and we don't have much in common as a result. Also, I can't understand some of your posts because the standard of your written English is often sub-normal.

You might be a decent bloke in real life and my opinion may be wide of the mark, but I can only judge you and others based on what I read on here. I do agree that some posters jump on everything you post these days, but I guess you reap what you sow.

This post isn't designed to be offensive to you, but seeing as you're challenging the actions of others, I thought I'd give my objective view. Apologies if anything I've written here is offensive, but take a look in the mirror.

There's something wrong with you Mr Tatty. Something dark and disturbing. What sort of person posts about 10 responses to every message a young lad makes. It's weird and unsettling.

Would you like site admin to remove me from the BBS Phil and Jay?

So in summary Mike, in your opinion Hemsy is:

    Unable to listen to reason
    A bully
    A bit of a knob
    A bit thick
Illiterate to the point of being sub-normal

Still at least you weren't trying to offend him.

    Not really.

Instead of site admin doing it maybe i could ban myself for a period of time. How long do you think is appropriate?

I take your point. Those are my objective views of him based on my experience on here. Dissect it how you like. However, despite those views I don't pursue him around the board dishing out insults to him. I keep my distance and so should others if they find him so annoying. The fact is that I don't know a single poster from the BBS in the real world, and what Hemsworth or anyone else posts on here makes zero difference to my life once I close the 'window'.

I've posted my opinion and anyone else is now entitled to their right to reply and I'll take what comes, without reply.

In all honesty threads like this, and on reflection the fact I even felt compelled to share my views on someone I've never met, is probably good reason for me to question my future contribution of posting on the BBS, as these are the sort of debates that I'd never lower myself to in my personal life. I'll just bob in as a visitor for the news now and again and keep my beak firmly out of the tit-for-tat.

    Mike.

I don't think any ban is appropriate. Just stop harassing Hemsworth. You don't like him, that's fine, so stop reading his posts and stop responding to him.

I'm not trying to claim Hemsworth is the best contributor to this forum or anything. He's not my favourite poster, but for the majority of the time I just let him get on with it. What you're doing is not appropriate. It just isn't. Doesn't mean you should be banned, but it does mean you should stop doing it.

I know, I know, who died and made me God? Well, no one. You don't have to take a blind bit of notice of me. But we're a community on here and usually communities have a good idea what's right and what's wrong. In my opinion what you're doing is wrong. But that doesn't mean you should listen to me, do what you like. But you should know this: you taking a cheap shot at Hemsworth every two minutes, it doesn't reflect badly on him, it reflects badly on you. Is that what you want?

'......these are the sort of debates that I'd never lower myself to in my personal life.' And the truth shall set you free.

It's up to you, but the BBS would be poorer (and dumber) without posters like you, hope you change your mind.

    The thing is Hemsworth...

... is that sometimes your idea of fun is offensive to people.

You have the right to your views, and if you express them in a proper manner and also accept that some will not agree to them, there is not a problem. Respond to their points with a reasoned argument and sometimes agree to disagree.

Its when you start throwing insults and accusations around that gets peoples backs up and ends up with you being attacked.

Think about what you post. When you've written it, look at it and think how others might interpret it, and if you think they could be offended, maybe change the wording.

You often make good points. Don't let them get lost in cheap jibes.
