Why do Yorkshire CCC still persist in crapping on their most loyal servants ?

    My take is that at the start of the year Hoggy wanted more than a 2 year contract and the club didnt want to commit so they agreed to review at the end of the season- fair enough

    quote "The Club and player agreed that they would review the situation after the season had ended"

    It appears that the club changed its mind after reviewing the situation internally and decided they didnt want him anymore -no attempt to renegotiate at mutually acceptable terms

    Might be wrong but thats how it seems to me

    I read it as he wanted more money and for longer and they were willing to pay him less than he wanted and for a shorter term. The manager wanted to keep him but the directors got rid anyway.

    Chris shuker anyone?

    Nothing like the Shuker situation.</p>

    Shuker had been offered a 2 year deal the previous year, he had insisted on a one year deal because he knew he would become a Bosman as he would turn 24 during the year. So Shuker gave a whole years notice to BFC that he would be looking round at the end of the season.</p>

    Doubt if Hoggy was even asking for more money.</p>

    Great player but my understanding is he wanted to be the highest paid player on the longest contract and be Captain and the club have said ....go and play for Notts
