That's about it. Except you need to add a bit about the parent of the team who didn't win anything then moving their lad to the other team cos he's skillful and should be winning stuff!
For now. I'm sure when the 50% tax band comes into play that more of the better players from here will move abroad to be better off on a smaller wage.
If you think they'll be paying 50% tax then you're deluded. There are enough tax avoidance schemes out there to make sure they keep most of their dosh.
Your Sincerely
David Beckham Ltd.

RE: Isit just me, or is Xavi the most overated player around these days? nt Got to agree with you about the Messi comments Young Red, he's real class. I think that Xavi is fantastic too, but the one that I really admire is Iniesta. It's amazing the amount of time that he appears to have on the ball. His control is unbelievably good, he never misses a pass (short or long) and he appears to chip in with the goals. Whilst Gerrard is obviously a fantastic player for Liverpool - he still doesnt do it for England and in my opinion, whilst he, Lampard and Rooney are very, very good players, none are genuinely world class like Messi, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and players before them like Maradonna, Ronaldo (the fat one), Zidane, Gullit etc. I do think that we are very good at producing central defensive players though. Ferdinand and Terry are fantastic and are keeping a group of other CB's out of the national team that in my opinion would usually be more than good enough to make the starting 11. I think that in recent years Paul Scholes has been about the best all round midfield player that we've had (I hate Man Ure by the way so not biased), and then Gazza before his injuries. In 1990 Gazza did what our current players don't seem able to do - step up in a major competition for England and really stand out amongst the world best. We still haven't got anyone like Lineker either and whether it's for England or Barnsley, you can have all the quality you like, but you need someone who lives for goals and does his best work in the oppositions penalty area.
RE: Watching a kids game..... I played in Goal. You should have seen the twatting I got for "letting an easy un in"!
I think it was Johann Cruyff Who was shocked when he came over to the UK and watched teams training. He asked: "How can you learn to play football without the ball at your feet?" In essence, we concentrate way too much on physical attributes - strength, speed, stamina - at all levels in our game. We do produce more 'continental' style players - Glenn Hoddle, Matt Le Tissier, Tony Currie etc - but they've always been lambasted as 'lazy', 'luxury' or 'flair'. Most countries would have built a team around them, we barely picked them (okay Hoddle got 50 odd caps, but that's about half of what he should have done.)
