I remember before most of you whippersnappers were even born -it were the last day of the season and we had to beat the mighty Arsenal to clinch our place in the European Cup-well it went right down to the final minute of injury time-still 0-0 after a pulsating match when up popped our centre half old &quot;skinner&quot; Normanton and he planted a header into the top corner-the rest is history Barnsley FC went on next season to be the first English club to lift the European Cup</p>

there was once on TV a Memory man
i think they called him Leslie Wech

i dont dis gree with what you said
but maybe i got 2 seasons mixed up
But the one we beat Hudds 5 1 at their ground
was a Midweek match

and Barnsley did not win many after that
now i have checked when my father in law died
it was in1968
so it was before then it could have been that season
but i remember Roth i think we had to win
and Roth scored i think that ws the1 1 game

im now trying to set this off

never played centre half but I think I remember the game you're on about.But I think we lost actually.And we were playing West Ham.But it was a good game.
