Bill Gates - A world leader in sustainable energy, runs the worlds biggest charity foundation and is heavily involved in Medicine research Vs Elon Musk - Climate change denying, Asperger’s to ****, far right nut job, hellbent on creating division and trying to create social media witch hunts on his cesspit platform.

Yeah Gates is definitely more dangerous.

    It's not far off.

In the last few hours he's advocated 'liberation' of the UK by the USA.

    Unhinged and dangerous stuff.

I sympathise because you’re either uninformed, poorly informed or just plain daft.

MPs from various parts of the house supported Dems and Republicans during the US election. That’s always been the case. So for every Labour MP who you reckon supported the Dems, the likes of Farage and Tice were there supporting Trump, as was Truss and many others.

None of that is relevant to this thread. The question asks why a South African immigrant, now a citizen of the US is trying to influence UK politics. It’s a topic that warrants discussion. The right wingers who bemoan such as Starmer, the left and liberals seemingly support the likes of Musk, Trump, Johnson, Yaxley-Lennon. Not one of them gives a toss about this country. Only one of them was born here, and he’s currently in jail for nearly collapsing a grooming case.

So to see the richest human on the planet use his bought platform to state ‘FREE TOMMY ROBINSON’ is appalling.

Musk and Trump were friends of Epstein and Maxwell. They have links to Sean Combs too. Prince Andrew. They’re all clearly on drugs. They’re all linked to claims of rape, sexual assault etc.

Yaxley-Lennon is a racist thug, drug addict. He spends most of his time overseas. He’s a pawn. And when he (and today, Jenrick the Tory) bang on about the Asian grooming gangs, they always fail to mention that most instances of such crimes are committed by white Brits.

The world is knackered. The rich keep getting richer, and can get away with anything, and they keep the peasants from revolting by seeding division.

I feel like I always have to point out that I didn’t vote Tory, Reform or Labour. I’ve no dog in this fight. I just think it’s very worrying that Musk, who bought himself a way into the government of the world’s most powerful nation is now targeting our country. If the right wing are so proud, so patriotic, I’d have assumed they’d be worrying also.

Of course, the Jay report did find that systematic underfunding of education, social services and policing does make it easier for grooming gangs to operate. And it didn't help that the report was given to a Conservative Prime Minister who would have had to admit that their ideological pursuit of austerity over 14 years was a contributing factor so that part was buried and the focus was on Asians for cheap points.

    Why?

He's already managed to get the American people to vote against their best interests like Farage did here in 2016. Who knows what his lunacy has in store for us.

What I’m more interested is the %. In the 2021 census there were 44.4m people in the UK who classed themselves as white British. In the same census there were 3.9m people who classed themselves as Muslim. As a very quick look, I can’t seem to find statistics on perpetrators race. If possible, and if someone is interested, someone try and find the above statistic and find out the percentage of perpetrators for each race.

To be fair, you can’t say it’s against their best interests as you don’t know those people or what their best interests are. It’s against YOUR best interest based on YOUR opinion.

As someone who cannot stand Starmer myself I'm quite interested in why you think the Govt has crashed after 4/5 months. Much as I dislike the current Labour Party leadership, it does seem to me that they have got many things very much 'right' in the early months - though they have been very timid in defending themselves when they have come under attack from the 'usual sources'. For example, they were 'spot on' in terms of:

    - NI increases (though idiotic in painting themselves into a corner on other tax sources)
    - the political response to the far right riots.
    - Withdrawing the winter fuel allowance from one of the richest demographics in Britain (though the way in which they managed/communicated it was cack handed)
    - Inheritance tax on landowners. About time - and yet they are still a favoured group in tax terms.
    - the pension decision on the WASPI women (though their mendacity to the issue when in opposition, did them no favours)

As I say, no fan of Starmer (far too right wing for me) but he/the Govt have got many things right imo. Why do you think they have 'crashed'?

I've found this spreadsheet, from GOV.UK.

It covers convicted sexual offences between 2011 and 2016. Where as you'll see, the vast majority are committed by whites.

    Another link: https://www.csacentre.org.uk/app/uploads/2024/02/Trends-in-Offical-Data-2022-23-FINAL.pdf

In 2022/23, 83% of the 6,517 convicted were 'white British'. The general population of England and Wales being 75% white British. So a higher proportion. However, the report does point out that child abuse is under-identified in minority ethnic communities.

So as I said in my first post, most instances of these crimes are committed by white Brits.

I think the American electorate are already seeing that they voted against their self interest, even before Trump is inaugurated mate.
