Why is running onto the pitch banned?

    Nah, this is far more important than Wembley. If we secure a play off place I'll stay behind.

    fine them all that run on the pitch, however much the club get fined they should make the pr!cks pay up

    Sorry but in this case you are wrong. Section 4 of the 1991 Act (Football Grounds Safety) prohibits fans from going onto the pitch. Trespass on private property is civil but in this case it is covered under criminal law in the same way as the Railways Act make it a criminal offence to access ralway lines etc and similar laws covering MOD property. So it isn't always trespass covered only by civil law. Hence my rant at people breaking the law which could cost BFC money

    Wrong! see my response on your other post - andr ead the 1991 Section 4 Football Grounds Safety Act . It IS and offence under criminal law

    Not as I recall.

    For me, I wouldn't think of going on the pitch unless it was after some serious achievement. Getting in the playoffs just about qualifies as did beating Chelski in the FA Cup.
