Are they though? The last time I looked we were probably about 14th in the table on overall signings but with one of the fewest first team departures. With one or two signings moving you comfortably in to the top ten. Maybe it as changed after the last few days. I completely 100% understand fans' frustration. But after we stayed up it was almost unanimous that people were saying a quiet transfer window would do us the world of good. Prior to the Struber issue, it was looking like Brown might be the only real first team player out of the door. I know we're still a couple short, but if you remove boardroom turmoil and this Struber debacle, I think most fans would have taken where we were 48 hours ago recruitment wise if asked after the Brentford game (knowing there's still ten days left). The problem is results and performances have been dreadful and that completely changes the mindset - understandably.
I’m not happy that 4 games in we still no nearer to signing a big centre forward seen as we’ve needed one for the last 18 months.
You really need to off those rose tinted specs, Have you seen Nudger’s post re players that have left?
The one where he named a list of players where 80% of them didn't contribute to the first team staying in the division? Happy to take of the rose tinted specs mate. But you haven't offered an alternative view just made a throwaway comment.
You make a good point Loko. I understand and feel the frustration also but it's true.....with the exception of getting in a striker (why sign aitchison and then put him out on loan?), most people wanted a quiet window. The other "inevitable" thing that was going to happen this window was for Mowatt and Woodrow to move out. Whatever happened to that? Still time I guess but looking unlikely at the minute.
