    Those were the days. I remember us taking 4-5000 to one of the matches, we filled the whole Kop area and down one side!

    I also remember

    Us beating Rochdale 1-0, the winning goal was scored by Johnny Evans when he punched the ball into the net. The only people in the ground who didn't see it were the referee and linesman.

    Yeah! And why is there such fear of criticising the groundsman?

    I mean he's done a decent job with the grass, granted. But we need more than just a lawn. Where's the rockery, the koi pond, the willow bay, the vegetable garden... organic vegetables are all the rage at the moment. Why always with the grass? Enough already! What a jerk.

    I think it is the ABUSE that is out of order (for BOTH Davey & Cryne)

    Quite a lot of it is ill-informed too - because life is never quite a simple as people on here like to make it out to be.

    I don't think there is any harm in a bit of constructive criticism.

    Since he took over! He has continually paid the wages of the entire staff from his own money since he took the reigns - that's something that hasn't come through generated club funds. I'm not sure how much that is in total, wouldn't even like to hazard a guess - but I have it on good authority that is roughly the amount he has put in.
