If her family are anything like her then I would like to bet that IF they came over and stayed (very big if), that they would work their tits off and be productive members of our society. Unlike a lot of the people already living here that expect the country owes them a living.

Not many who come from that area of the world actually 'work their tits off' though....

Cost of UK war in Afghanistan, £40bn.

Seems a bit odd to be complaining about the cost of treating one girl.

I'm not complaining. Good luck to her, it's a nice human story. Even better if their govt are paying for it.

What an horrific story. The idea of a girl being shot because she wanted an education for her and her peers. What misogyny by male thugs who treat women as second class citizens. If any of my taxes have helped her I'd be pleased. There is great evil in this world.

    I would welcome anyone

who is attacked by Muslims for "Promoting Secularism".

She deserves the best treatment and if we can help her in any way, we should.

By the way, the word is "being" as in "being treated". "been treated" is past tense so your thread title is meaningless since "is" is present tense.
