    well consider this,

Simon was given an opportunity to "sell Himself" to Patrick, he did so and we kicked off.Five games in and we are floundering already.I think Mr Cryne had a short list Already and awaiting had Simon not convinced him. I also think Patrick may well have said to the guy or guys that he was gonna give Simon a last ditch try but to keep in touch. Therefore its just a matter of re contacting the guy. I think next week will see a new man in the seat.

    RE: well consider this,

That would be the approach of a forward thinker. Let's hope Patrick did indeed prepare for the worst and isn't, as we speak, starting to think about it.

    Afraid not

I'm keeping an open mind on the new manager, as I don't know what financial package (salary, budget for backroom staff, transfer kitty, etc.) Mr Cryne is willing to make available. No appointment Mr Cryne makes will be met with universal approval.
I agree with your comments about having someone in mind, which suggests to me the likes of Dowie, Cotterill, Boothroyd, Jewell & Sanchez are nearer to the top of the list than, for example, Coppell, Strachan or O'Leary.
