Why was the ponty end booing at full time?

Simple question, then, Menai, as I am just a mere football fan who has sat and watched this for year on year. So what (with this limited budget squad) would YOU have changed. Formation or personnel wise.
Tell me what your game changing ‘plan B’ would be?
And, just to be clear, I am not locking horns with you, here. We support the same club, we have both just seen us not take three points off a weak side.
But, genuinely, what is this plan B that has evaded us for so long?

That's what was confusing me because when I heard the initial boo I genuinely thought it was at the ref for not playing any extra time added on despite the time wasting and stoppages in the 6 minutes but when the players went over and the usual corner started booing them I was a bit shocked

    Can I join in there?

Russell off, cole on. Connell deep spraying balls around (they were giving us a lot of room in midfield), McAtee and Phillips both playing an advanced midfield position able to receive the ball and run with it. Cole and Cosgrove up front.

Or Earl and Cadden off (earl had a shocker), Williams and Grant on. 4-4-2. Williams, O'Keefe at full backs. Grant able to play more attacking in midfield. Similarly Benson could have come on to do the same job.

Or Marsh on, Russell off. Cosgrove in the middle up front as the aerial threat to knock balls down to McAtee and Marsh playing off him. Both of which will run their blood to water.

The idea that we have zero alternatives and zero options is just wrong and sadly it's a narrative that fans have been conditioned to accept.

This Plan B stuff is missing the point. It assumes that you may suddenly need to have a wholly different approach to your original tactical set up.

    This is not realistic.

Today, in my opinion, it was tactically wrong (blatantly) to take Cosgrove off rather than McAtee. We had not scored and towards the end of a game what do teams always do? Yep - they go high. We had removed our only threat in this regard - Cosgrove.

Plus McAtee has been poor for weeks now.

So while i agree that Cosgrove is the only one who can physically compete for long balls - I can see why he got brought off. God above is he a carthorse. That 'shot' he had when clean through in the 1st half - Jesus Christ

I don’t see a different game to everyone else, I see the same.
But when you have only 11 ‘decent’ players, you play your best XI and hope your game plan outwits the opposition’s best eleven.
But, from either the bench, or changing shape on the pitch all options are rarely better than starting our best XI and hoping they beat what is in front of them.
It’s just how life in this league, with a very limited budget is.

    McAtee and Roberts I'd say.
God knows why Collins dragged McAtee off when Phillips was playing like a headless chicken.

Not sure mcatee came out of the game with much credit today. Offside more than a threat most times.

I must have watched a different game. Today our tactics did work just our final ball & finishing let us down.

It’s not like the Lincoln game where we were second best.

We were the better side throughout todays game & made plenty of chances in both halves

Thought McAtee was poor today. Bizarre decision to leave him on and take Cosgrove off for Cole. We were never much of a threat after.
