My personal opinion is... (without knowing exactly what's happened I hasten to add), is that they should sit down and discuss it and come to a resolution for the good of both parties, as it looks to the fans (without any kind of explanation to us) like two teenage girls who've fallen out about whose make up it is, and now they won't speak.
RE: I think this bunker mentality might just take us to the top. Great point and the best so far. IF all these problems are over mistakes in their coverage, Rob Knowles should be sacked to spare double standards. However it could be about something we have no idea about. I see Radio Sheffield are playing games as well by not having a Barnsley fan blog on the official website yet like the other local teams (N) (N) (N)
I don't think they treat us like sh*t The coverage is very fair (and is generally based upon league position). Last season, we were below both sheffield clubs - and hence got less coverage. If we want to be featured more this season, we will need to put more points on the board. It's as simple as that.
Indeed cos I applied for that... And have not heard a word. Maybe cos I'm a lovely person, but thought I'd at least be asked the questions that all applicants were to be asked...
They are only interested in Blunts and Fowls only got to look at matchday coverage over last couple of years why should help them appear to be balanced. Only time they showed any real interest over the big city two was 97-98 Iwonder why?
of course barnsley fc needs the local media A lot more than they need us.
Without barnsley fc what have radio sheffield lost? not a lot, they've still got all the other clubs. Without radio sheffield what have barnsley lost? their main source of free advertising in the local area.
Like Jay said, the only people that the club would be punishing by hiding from the media is it's own supporters and customers

Maybe they've just not got round to it? They seemed to be actively seeking a barnsley diarist not long ago. Try emailing the person in charge of it direct, it might get you somewhere
I think the fans need the coverage more than the club The fans are the ones suffering, can't see score updates and reports and the odd interview improving anything financial for the club. Not defending the club though, or Radio Sheffield - whatever's happened they should kiss and make up.
Anyone considered that the Club would rather focus on preparing for the Coventry match rather than appearing on this meaningless Radio De Da programme I'm listening to.
There are much more important things for Davey to do like bringing players in or watching paint dry.
(wicked)

Cazi applied on my behalf... I have as yet had no response. Seems funny if every other team now has one apart from us.
The last I heard was that the bloke who was organising it was on holiday and he would be contacting all applicants at some point of last week. I will chase him again.
We need it but the club itself does as well. Just look at the way that sheff united, sheff wednesday and even donny milk it for all that its worth and it does work, they get a bigger interest in their club which in turn results in more fans through the gate and more money in the till. Look up and down the country and al lthe teams that you hear about regularly are the ones that milk the media. Nobody is particularly keen on cardiff but even all the way up here we can't help but hear about them from time to time because of the way they deal with the media. Another example is Ian Holloway, **** manager but his clubs are never far from the media and peoples brains.
If someone was on the radio talking positively about the upcoming season it might help get some waverers through the door on Saturday.
