He was truly awful last night when he came on. Didn't help our cause at all.

Think he’s been pretty dreadful all season to be honest. He’s been a massive disappointment. I saw him a few times for Donny last season & was impressed & thought that with his physique & experience of league one football there was a good chance he’d be our best signing.

The only time I’ve been impressed with him was against Leeds where he seemed to play with a point to prove.

I think Thomas has been awful as well. I keep reading Barnsley fans saying he should be playing but I’ve no idea why. Apart from getting lucky with the Fulham player slipping he’s not given us anything this season.

These two’s bad form is probably the main reason we’re currently playing 3-5-2.

Don't agree re Thomas, think he's been one of our better signings...

Could do with Thomas coming on instead of Wilks, been a waste so far this season.

So far he's my most disappointing signing, based on expectations, not sure he's had a good game - maybe a good 5 minutes here and there. Not for me so far.

He's not even had to move house.

    Agreed.

Not bad for our marque summer signing.

Agree with all of this, thought I was the only one who saw this in Thomas. I don’t get why some folk rave about him. I remember Forest away where they gave him no respect, the full backs just gave him space to run at them knowing full well his end product wasn’t anything to worry about.

Seems a nice guy but a heart of a garden pea. Also agree with what you say about Wills.

That first game against fulham i thought wilks looked powerful and quick.... I expected him to be a major threat for us but it hasnt happened for whatever reason. Still plenty of time tho and as confidence hopefully grows within the squad we'l see the best of him.

It might have dawned that playing in the Championship is a massive leap from playing with Donny in league 1

Think Thomas has looked good. I'm hopeful Wilks can improve, he has power & pace, but his touch, distribution & decision making has been poor. Good at the moment we can just use him as an impact sub, if we need him, he clearly wasn't ready to be a starter at this level.

If Wilks was able to turn his head we'd be 4 points better off this season.

Well I think his character might be helpful around the training ground and changing room. I noticed he had Simoes under his wing on the matchday recap. It's a big step up to the championship and I think given time he may well make it. Dudnt watch the WBA game but other times hes pjayed I've seen something there

You can apply that to plenty of players who have gone on to do well for us. Your comment is a bit unfair IMHO.

Like you I was impressed with what I saw of him last year, but Donny fans often said he was very hit and miss and went games where he looked liked he couldn’t be bothered and then had days where he looked amazing

Wilks has looked good a few times when coming on as a sub but poor when starting. I'm with you he did look good the times I saw him for donny. One thing I do like about him is he is one of the few players we have who will take his man on, not impressed so far but still think he could come good eventually

I haven’t noticed that about him. He’s trying a bit too hard if anything.

Most talented player at the club in my opinion, he just needs time. He'll come good I'm certain of it.
