I'm somewhere around there, but Dallas could be anywhere between 4 and 20, depending on how he makes the transition. Some strikers make the step up in class effortlessly, others struggle badly. I definitely suspect that Shaw will get a duck, although I hope I'm wrong.
Norwood & Watters hopefully will with a few from Dallas, not convinced Shaw will score many but hopefully with a few from Midfield there’s enough
Difficult to say without knowing how much of a role Dallas is going to play. I think the three main strikers will be Norwood, Cole and Watters. If fit, I’d start Norwood every time but he was very effective off the bench (particularly at Wembley) and his age might limit his minutes. I think Watters will get more of a look in this season, particularly now he’s out most physical striker, but didn’t look that fit last season. That might mean Cole gets more minutes, particularly as he can play wide should we decide to play wingers. I’ll go: Watters 13 Cole 11 Norwood 10 Dallas 7 Shaw 2
I am not sure how scoring 16 goals & being our leading goal scorer last season let anyone down , can someone please explain to me how he let us down , I just think that a section of our fans mainly the armchair brigade had made their minds up about Cole before he kicked a ball last season & wrote him off & despite him doing very well they are not prepared to cut him some slack, it might be an idea to get a copy of a Collins dictionary & look up the word " support ".
Agreed wholeheartedly. Cole is not the most talented striker we've ever had, but his efforts last season were herculean. He reminds me of Marc Richards in many ways. Also quite a limited player, but so very important to the side in 2006. His limitations became very clear in the Championship, but he played for us mostly in League 1, and did very well there.
Its weird isn't it. Scored 16 goals, contributed to others, kept getting picked as was vital to how we played but somehow he "let himself down". If anyone wants to know how integral he was to the team watch the third goal against Derby at home.
Bang on, said it time and time again he had a good season last season scored more than Lee Gregory, windass and Sam Smith and had better mpg ratio than all of them. But because some fans have made their minds up on him that's it.
