I think lack of confidence is a big problem throughout our squad, I was hoping that a new Manager and season would have given us a lift but it didn't look like it at Plymouth. I'm certain that a lot of our players will look far better when we can start putting results together.
A goat called Curry. Thats wicked in just about every sense of the word!!! I don't disagree re social media and smart phones. But they can also be used for good. Think of people remote who seldom see people but need social contact of some form. Just as one example. But yes, there are many ways in which it is used which is far from good. Then we've the environmental devastation our technology causes. I must admit I've had a tough week when it comes to environmental positions and news. Every week we're trying to change something that lessens our impact on our world, either through our actions or influencing others. But our efforts (as modest as they are) are dwarfed when you see governments, corporates and individuals not trying, caring or even worse, pretending they are doing something. Still, a goat called Curry. I think thats made my day!
Answer honestly please, if Duff had said this about Norwood, would this have been the same post from you? I quite like Iseka, as I think he has some ability, but he’s not exactly shown much on the pitch (barring that little purple patch) and if he’s not doing it on the training ground either, he can’t argue about warranting a starting place.
Cole has never really scored goals at a consistent rate throughout his career, apart from that one season for Motherwell. So does that mean he’s always been at teams with poor service? Nah. As others have said, he doesn’t work hard enough to get in the scoring positions. Also, that chance he had against Plymouth where the ball got stuck around his feet, if he lays that off to Aitchison, there’s a good chance we score there. I’d love to be surprised and Devante ends up with 15+ this season but I just can’t see it.
of course, I would have. It's something that you listen to more and more in sports. Bairstow talked about how training isn't everything this summer in cricket along with Ben Stokes. The place where I got Bin Juice from. James Haskell podcast they have spoken about it with a British vs World take on training. A lot of the European and South American footballers don't care about training. Of course, you have to be fit to play but the hours they put in and intensity aren't for them. Below it says SA wouldn't even tie boots up sometimes. https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/sergio-aguero-training-man-city-24223287
Unfortunately I can't take credit for the name. But old Curry, with all his seriousness, puts a smile on every one he meets. And he has his own outhouse at the top of a hill, on an overgrown patch of land, with unlimited veg. He's living the goat dream. People round here may say he's the GOAT goat
There’s a slight difference between the levels of Aguero, Bairstow and Stokes than Iseka. Maybe when Iseka has 184 premier league goals, he can stroll about in training. Until then, he needs to work hard to get himself in the team and then perform on the pitch, to keep a place in the starting 11.
I think that's fair. If the lad is not producing it in training or during a match, what makes him or anyone else believe he justifies a place in the starting line-up?
Even if he was given a pass to score from I wouldn’t trust him to do it. In fact against Plymouth he had a half decent chance and turned into 2 opposition players rather than trying to get a shot off first time.
Exactly. Should be a given for most, if not all, players we have. Hopefully he gets his head down and Duff can get the best out of him.
