Will England regret not forcing the 'follow on'?

    Made no sense to put em in again. It's still a very flat pitch with a couple of balls staying down and a bit of spin. That's only going to get worse as the days go on. By batting now we've theoretically got the best conditions to bat in, days 2 and 3 are pretty flat at Lord's. Give the bowlers a big rest, set them 450-500 to chase and that's more than enough. It's ok saying turn the screw, but there's no reason to suggest we'd run through them again, they can't bat that badly again surely and we can turn the screw by making their already tired bowlers run around chasing leather. They've only had 50 overs rest remember. One decent partnership in this innings and we can't lose, plenty of time left as well.

    We wouldn't have needed to. Plenty for the bowlers on this wicket now.
