If he leaves, as looks likely,

I hope the lad does well, irrespective of where he ends up. Personally, I believe he'd be best served staying a while longer at Barnsley, but I don't want us to break the bank in order to keep him here, either.

You shouldn't be allowed a season ticket

    Or a pair of eyes.

    Re: "at least 4"

I reckon you make some decent points SM. I would have all those players above him for POTY, maybe Perkins too. I reckon Butts is good enough for the PL technically but I get the feeling he might be lost in the pace and power of football at the top level. It would be good if somebody like Newcastle could take him and loan him back to us for a season to get him back up to speed after his injury.

Re: I'd have put money on you responding like that

I may be wrong but I think Drinkwater only played one game when he returned (Leicester away - good result) and then he signed for them the following week. For the record, I think Drinkwater will make a reasonable Championship midfielder and good luck to him. I don't need to 'defend' Butterfield - he'll do that himself over time. It's just that I feel you have a tendency to develop a downer on individuals which, regardless of evidence to the contrary, you are unable or unwilling to amend - Butterfield is merely the latest example. I'm pleased you are renewing and I will probably end up doing so as well. Enjoy the rest of the season.

I'm confused by that first paragraph. Are you saying that we went on a good run of results and played our best football after Butterfield got injured??

That first Paragraph is mental. Properly mental.

"Butterfield went off against Leeds (prior to which he'd had a run of games where he'd been averate) and Vaz Te came on as sub. Which then coincided with us playing our best football and going on a run."

Since Butterfield got injured in the Leeds game we've played 12 games and lost 8 of them. The two games directly after the Leeds game we lost, away at Donny and home to Swansea. What sort of run is that? In fact, what the bleeding hell are you on about?

    You've got muesli for brains.

    Butterfield went off

Vaz Te came on and scored a hat trick. Cant comment on away games, but at home the Leeds game & the first half against Derby are our best performances, without Butterfield.

    Yeah, sorry

We're doing really well since Butterfield got injured. I think we'll get promoted.
