    Well after watching the fall out on tv following the game it was obviously not as clear cut as it looks and i would like to withdraw my comments above' i have been humbled and it seems you can't take what you see at face value' apologies for any offence caused' lesson learned...

    Couldn’t agree more mate! Well said. Some of the comments on this forum are appalling: self righteousness, name calling, discriminatory, stereotyping, extremism and don’t dare to have a political view that’s incompatible to the majority!

    The videos of people climbing over a wall was outside the stadium, and not the wall giving access to the stadium itself. This was a result of police and authorities allowing large numbers of Liverpool fans to be held outside the ground and not let in.

    I was listening to Capital FM this morning (daughter likes the music) and their presenter was at the game as a neutral with two friends. He described their treatment was disgusting with police parking riot vans inside a tunnel leaving only a two foot gap to squeeze through. Lots of very nervous fans being laughed at by police were then pepper sprayed and tear gassed including kids and disabled ones. The guy had been there two days and said there was no trouble, great behaviour and atmosphere.

    By the looks of reports that keep coming it looks like a complete farce of organisation that started it and was then a mix of nations involved ,

    The Officially sanctioned Real Madrid fan park was a few minuted from the stadium, the Liverpool one was miles away. The metro station nearest the stadium was shut.

    The Liverpool fans were funnelled into an underpass that 90% blocked by police vans, so that Police could frisk and check fans arriving. They were being over officious and arsey and then when Liverpool fans got annoyed they were pepper sprayed.

    The Madrid fans were not treated in the same manner.

    Some details here, at the end of the report. There were issues, but not on the same scale. I've also seen Madrid fans on Twitter saying they had issues.

    I wouldn't like to prejudge the French just as I wouldn't like prejudge the Scousers.

    But, it was a UEFA and French Police problem.
